Australia Day is a massive day on the harbour with ferry races, maritime and aeronautical displays, music and an all-around festive vibe. There’s no better place to experience our national day than on the water. Take your pick between our VIP private charter with up to 10 guests, or join a group cruise with our expert skipper/guide.

Celebrate Australia Day on Sydney Harbour! This premium experience aboard your own private luxury sports cruiser includes joining the famous Ferrython parade with hundreds of flag-festooned boats, a sightseeing cruise past the city icons and waterfront suburbs, a gourmet seafood picnic-style lunch with drinks, plus an afternoon of swimming and bay-hopping in the pristine waterways of Middle Harbour.

Itinerary 

10:30  am Depart Towns Place wharf, Walsh Bay

10:45 – 11:30 Australia Day Ferrython & parade

11:30 am – 12:30 pm Sightseeing cruise – Opera House, Farm Cove, Garden Island Naval Base, Fort Denison, Point Piper Millionaires playground, Shark Island, Watsons Bay, North Head

12:30 – 1:30 Lunch & drinks on board, moored off a beautiful national park

1:30 – 4 Swimming and bay-hopping in picturesque Middle Harbour

4:30 Return and disembark at Towns Place wharf, Walsh Bay

Your Boat

MV Spectre brings a touch of the Italian Riviera to Sydney, with 500 horsepower twin outboards, a retractable sunroof, and the ability to land right on the beach. This 11-meter state-of-the-art sports cruiser was built in 2017 by acclaimed Scandinavian boat builder Axopar, and won the 2017 ‘European Powerboat of the Year’.

Spectre seats 10 guests and includes a sun-lounger, swim platform, shaded cabin & dining table, ensuite cabin with toilet, fridge, sink, WiFi & Bluetooth music system.

The Day

Watch the start of the world-famous Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race and follow the flotilla of impressive maxi yachts out towards the heads. We’ll take a short tour of some of the key sights of Sydney Harbour, and head to picturesque and historic Quarantine Bay for lunch, a wander, and an afternoon swim. Your ticket includes a cafe lunch and soft drink at a waterside bar/cafe but you’re welcome to bring other snacks and drinks aboard.

Your Boat

Harbour Explorer – a comfortable open-top boat that seats 16 guests and can drop you right onto the beach. It’s 8.5m with an enclosed toilet and some shading. Find out more about your boat here(opens in a new tab).
