Yes. Private charters are well suited to corporate lunches, hosted client experiences, team events, and end-of-year functions. The maximum group size we can take is 11 passengers per boat, and we have three boats. The best option depends on your group size and the type of atmosphere you want.

Yes. In many cases the experience can be shaped around your preferred time and the kind of harbour day you want to create. If you want a long lunch, a scenic route, a swim stop, a nature experience, a romantic cruise, or a more relaxed social format, mention it from the start so we can craft your cruise to suit your preferences.

Private charter pricing depends on duration and whether food, drinks, or other hosted inclusions are part of the experience. As a rough guide, a modern sports cruiser with captain, fuel, and non-alcoholic beverages is approximately AUD $800 per hour.

No. We offer the shared, small-group Sydney Secrets Lunch Cruise. There are never more than 8 other guests on board, so it is more like cruising with a small group of friends you have not met before. The shared lunch cruise departs daily from 01 October to 31 March, with some exceptions. In April, May, and September it operates three times a week. If you have a group of more than 4 people, we recommend booking the private Sydney Secrets Lunch Cruise where only your group will be on board.

Our boats are faster than most other harbour operators, which means we take you further and to places others cannot reach — National Park waterways, Middle Harbour, secluded beaches, and historic corners of the harbour that sit well away from the tourist circuit. Every charter includes a knowledgeable local captain who provides genuine, tailored commentary. No pre-recorded scripts. Yes. The Whales of Sydney Sea Safari and the Whales of Sydney Lunch Safari are Sydney’s only fully private whale watching charters. The boat is exclusively yours for the duration of the experience, with a maximum of 8 guests. There are no other passengers on board, no strangers on deck, and no compromises on sightlines or space.

Humpback whales migrate along the Sydney coastline between June and October. The Whales of Sydney Sea Safari and the Whales of Sydney Lunch Safari operate during this window, departing from Campbells Cove Floating Pontoon at Circular Quay.

For all our private charters there is no age limit. Children need to be closely supervised by a responsible adult at all times. We have appropriate safety gear for even young children.

The only tour that is shared is the Sydney Secrets Lunch Cruise, and even then the maximum is 8 guests, so it is still a small and premium experience. For all our private charters, your group will be the only ones on board.

Our cruises typically leave from Campbells Cove pontoon at the northern end of the Overseas Passenger Terminal. For private charters we can pick you up and drop you off at any accessible wharf within Sydney Harbour. You can board in Circular Quay or Darling Harbour and disembark at Taronga Zoo, one of the many waterfront restaurants, Sydney Seaplanes, or Manly. Arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your pick-up time. We have sun loungers, seating, and a table on each boat so you can relax, enjoy brunch or lunch on board, or stop for a swim at one of the safe, secluded beaches. We can stop at a waterside café or drop you off at Taronga Zoo, Manly, Sydney Seaplanes, or one of the many waterside restaurants.

Yes, it is possible to stop and swim in safe, secluded National Park waters, depending on the charter itinerary, timing, weather, and conditions on the day. We provide towels for swimming. If a swim stop matters to your group, mention it early so the most suitable option can be recommended.

Private tours within Sydney Harbour can accommodate a maximum of 11 passengers. The offshore whale watching tours accommodate a maximum of 8 guests. The Sydney Secrets Lunch Cruise accommodates a maximum of 8 guests to keep the experience intimate and personalised.

Because our boats are relatively small (29′ and 37′), we do not have gangways that accommodate passengers with severe mobility restrictions. If you have questions regarding your particular group, reach out and we can discuss your best options.

Our boats are very stable. Their award-winning Finnish design means they can handle conditions better than other boats when the water is a bit choppy, but Sydney Harbour is fully enclosed so waves are minimal. If you are concerned or prone to seasickness, consult a pharmacist for readily available over-the-counter preventatives or speak to your medical professional. For whale watching cruises you will be offshore where conditions can be rougher.

It depends on whether you feel comfortable being on board a small boat and the advice of your medical professional. We do not recommend travelling with us if you have neck or back injuries or are in advanced pregnancy.

Tours operate in most conditions. If heavy rain, lightning, or dangerous winds are forecast, tours may be cancelled with a full refund or credit provided. For sporadic rain, tours typically proceed as our vessels provide good weather protection. If conditions are unsuitable, guests are notified and an alternative date is arranged.

When you book online, payment is processed through our secure payment system. If you prefer not to pay online, please contact us and we will make the booking for you and send a secure payment link. We do not take cash, and payments cannot be made on board. All bookings need to be made in advance.

Yes, all our boats have an onboard toilet.

We do not have barbecue or food heating facilities on board. Our onboard menus and BYO options are for cold picnic-style food. We have mini fridges to keep drinks cold.
